Case examples of Nabil's work include the following:

-For the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors, Nabil provided an overview of strategies to train managers and directors on active listening, empathy, and recognition to demonstrate concern for employee wellbeing.

-For the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Nabil implemented a workshop for the retreat of the ACOG Council of District Chairs. This workshop focused on change management and coping with stress & burnout. Nabil's workshop was well-received by attendees and contributed to more positive discussions later in the retreat.

When he was a CEO, Nabil was committed to supporting the well-being of his employees.

Techniques he used to promote the mental health of his employees included the following:

-Creation of an employee wellness advisory group, which developed activities such as a walking challenge and a company-wide gratitude activity.

-Recognition of team members at each monthly staff meeting with a Pause for Applause, where every employee was acknowledged with at least one complimenton their work or health behaviors. Fellow staff provided these anecdotes, and all were collected to be included by managers in annual reviews.

-Motivation Messages, delivered by video on Slack, which lasted between 2 and 3 minutes. During the first year of the pandemic, Nabil recorded one for each business day. This constant level of communication provided daily opportunities for engagement with remote staff and improved staff morale during a challenging time.

These and other efforts contributed to a 96% employee retention rate with increased profitability during the first 2 years of the pandemic.
